We agree that the continent generator should start from a set number of continents, cities per continent, etc. and grow a world according to these user-modifiable parameters.
Should the world be flat (with edges), or continuous?
Starting parameters:
- World size
- Land/sea ratio
- City count or density per arbitrary land area unit
- Initial enemy proximity
- Initial location handicap (e.g., starting continent has only one city, or starting city is not a port city)
Most starting parameters should be offered in ranges only. For example, valid city counts might be (low, medium, high, random). An obvious exception is World Size: this should be specified in units (e.g., 100 x 349).
