EXCELLENT! I think this answers all of my initial questions about the
phased world generation. Monday night I recoded world generation under
VC++, but was uncertain about a few issues. Now I have the details
necessary to complete my first-pass coding and move into testing. After
that, the next step will be to generate a UI.

P.S. A thought just occurred to me: for $100 or so, I could get
Microsoft's cross-development tools for the Mac. I would do all my
development under VC++ on my PC, but deliver a Mac executable - which I could somehow ship to you. If you don't have convenient access to a Windows machine for Alexander, this might be our best solution. Interested?
