This is a response to Vol 9 John 6 ("Holly Hangs On!")...
Just for the record, this is the recipe Holly and I have devised to allow two Archipelagans to share one Macintosh:
There are three files we each keep private copies of:
- The "My contributions" stack
- The latest "voices" stack
- The Archipelago stack itself
When Holly is using the computer she renames my copies of these files to "Paul's contributions", "Paul's Voices", and "Paul's Archipelago"; she also renames her private copies to the standard names. I reverse this process when I am in Archipelago.
In addition, the active user puts their name in a variable in the script associated with the "home" stack.
(John: I forgot to perform this last step before writing this card. Oops!)
