I was surprised to hear about Roger's Halloween impressions. Halloween is ordinarily my favorite holiday, but this year it seemed rather morgue-like to me. Hardly anyone dressed up in Foster City where I work. Usually, I'll take advantage of any excuse to pretend I'm someone else, and usually I don't mind making a fool of myself, but by noon on Halloween I was already sick to death of being Tammy Wynette.
I didn't hear of any Halloween parties at all, anywhere, so I just went home early and combed Tammy's flip out of my hair, took off her rabbit coat and her heart-shaped earrings and pretended to be myself again.
So it was a disappointing Halloween for me. From what Roger's said, it sounds like I should have spent it in Alameda. I'd be interested in hearing about other people's Halloween experiences. What happened in Montana, Ohio, Salt Lake City, Dallas?
