Speaking as a senior citizen of this sex obsessed society, I would like to point out that once the "juices" hormones, etc. thin out and loose their ability to confuse the mind, it becomes obvious that we need to clarify what we mean by "sex" in this discussion.

How about substituting "sexual intercourse and the associated physical and mental preliminaries" for one part, and "tender sympathetic, empathetic and mutual trust feelings" for another part of that word.
