I suspected John was going to have something to say about this card. However, I wrote it before starting my statistics class, before I ever even saw it listed in the catalog.

The class meets Monday through Thursday nights for six weeks. I do homework after I get home and study on weekends. I make comments to my roommates on things like how the package of mushrooms in the refrigerator looks something like a probability density curve. I've memorized a few formulas and can calculate things like standard deviations, but I don't know what a standard deviation really is.

As a result of this experience so far, I don't really think statistics is going to have a big impact in my life, and most likely I will stop writing voice cards that have anything to do with statistics.

Think about sex all you want, John - or bowling or whatever - without fear that I may attempt to quantify my comments.
