Hmm... Your colony sounds like a wonderful place. What are the mechanics of being admitted there? Do you pay for the privilege? Are you "selected"? How often may you go? How long may you stay?

I guess my real question revolves around the "long-term" value of such a place. By this I mean, "Could you stay there year-after-year and remain productive?" My guess is that this would only provide value in giving artists a "breather" from ordinary pressures (suffering?). If I read you all correctly, I side with John on this issue: suffering is in some way necessary for the creation of art.
