No. Our American civilization will leave much more than 'art'. We will be leaving permanent marks on the planet earth.

Look at our garbage (there are newspapers in our landfills that are still legible after 40 years!), look at the nuclear test sites and storage areas (we will be remembered for those radioactive half-lifes), look at the species diversity loss (there is a real concern that the only animals which will be sharing our planet with us are rats, 'roaches, and, surprisingly, deer), look at our ozone holes!

Our art will be the least of our contributions to the future.
