In a recent tape conversation, Paul mentioned an annual event that occurs among some participants in his office computer network: nomination for the best folk music of the year. This gave me a (great) idea!
I propose that we all nominate candidates for THE BEST VOICE CARD OF 1990! Since it would be so hard to pick just one, you may make THREE selections. Here are the rules.
- Enter your nominations in a reply to THIS card.
- You may not nominate one of your own cards (even if you know it was the best).
- All voice cards in volumes 12 through 17 are eligible.
- In addition to your top three picks, please also include your nomination for BEST TITLE.
- Extraneous comments, nominations for non-existent categories (such as most glorious spelling error or best snippet), and offers of prize money MAY ALSO BE INCLUDED!
In considering your candidates for this high honor you may wish to consider the most MOVING card, the most HILARIOUS card, the most PROVOCATIVE card, the most ORIGINAL card, the most ELOQUENT card, and also the card of LEAST APPARENT REDEEMING VALUE.
Please take a few minutes to review the wonderful cards of 1990. If all goes well this could be the start of a great Archipelago tradition.
