Here is how I would rate myself on my housekeeping habits:
- Vacuuming Rugs-main traffic area?
- Only when guests are coming (8)
- Vacuuming Rugs- obscure areas?
- Never (or under protest) (9)
- Washing dishes (assuming no dishwasher and 3 days supply of dishes)?
- Bidaily (3)
- Cleaning Toilets & Sinks?
- Only when guests are coming (8)
- Washing clothes, assuming a two week supply?
- Biweekly (5)
- Changing bedsheets?
- Monthly (6)
- Washing Woodwork?
- Never (or under protest) (9)
- Washing Windows?
- Never (or under protest) (9)
- Washing the Car?
- Yearly (7)
- Washing Towels and faceclothes?
- Monthly (6)
- Washing Kitchen Floor?
- Never (or under protest) (9)
- Sweeping the Kitchen Floor?
- Only when guests are coming (8)
So, if these questions are weighted equally, my overall mean score would be 7.25, and since your original ten scale was set up with 1 as the slob and 10 as the neat-freak, I suppose we should subtract the mean score from 10.5 to obtain an overall neatness rating. I guess that makes me a 3.
Sounds about right.
