I was delighted to hear about this wacky house Woz is building. This is EXACTLY what I would do were I in his place. Can you tell me anything more about it?
The Winchester Mansion is an interesting parallel. If any of you ever find yourselves with a free afternoon in San Jose, I highly recommend the tour of this place. Sarah Winchester was very superstitious and believed that unless she kept building onto her house every minute of every hour of every day, all the ghosts of every Indian ever slain by a Winchester rifle would descend upon her and spirit her away. And she was VERY rich and lived for a VERY long time. The result of all this construction has to be seen to be believed.
If I ever organize a world-wide tour of mazes and labyrinthes, this would be a primary stop. The Winchester Mansion is, essentially, the only truly three dimensional maze on the planet that I know of. Although I have a passion for mazes, I must admit that I found this one rather depressing in the final analysis. But it is still magnificent.
In any event, like Woz and Sarah Winchester, I definitely adhere to the "King Ludwig the Mad" school of architecture. These are perhaps the highest form of PONARV!
