Rick's preferred style is bearded but in the Army that doesn't work. When he was a civilian OR nurse he had to wear a special beard cover in the OR. When we were married he had a beard - an older woman he worked with suggested he ought to shave for the wedding, my mother agreed. He is personable but he enjoys disturbing the water so of course he did not shave. (This was totally unrelated to the wedding but ...)
