Well Janine, I guess one of the reasons I got out of the "corporate" world, was because of the exact reasons you described. It is funny how managers can see so clearly how much money they are saving when talking about buying software yet they cannot see the forest for the trees when it comes to the well-being of their employees.

I guess one of the most frustrating things about the "average" American is that they do not want to know any more than they have to. I always want to know why... and yet many of my previous co-workers could have cared less. Perhaps this is another sad commentary on America - I don't know. Since I have decided to become a teacher, I have found that some of the statistics are disheartening. Where to begin? I don't know, I guess that all I can do is try.
