Diversified Reviews

Voice Card  -  Volume 4  -  John Card Number 19  -  Thu, Jan 26, 1989 1:46 AM

This is a response to volume 4, Paul Card Number 1 ("Kicking")...

Paul:

Perhaps you are right. I can't say for sure who thought of the idea first. Gentleman that I am, I will bow and give you full credit.

ANYWAY, it's clearly a good idea and I am now officially committed to it. Somehow or other we will have music reviews, software/hardware reviews, and, as Larry suggested, a travel guide to end all travel guides.

PLEASE give me some feedback on the best way to implement all of the above. I believe, first of all, that the travel guide should be a separate stack, complete with maps and restaurant reviews, sightseeing tips, and hotel reviews. In addition to a field for the text of the reviews, what other standard fields should we include? Price range? Address? Phone number? What else?

Now then, for a more fundamental question. Should the other reviews be organized into separate stacks or comingled to form a single all-purpose review stack? Are computer and music sections enough diversification? Or can anyone think of other review categories? And what standard fields should be included for the computer section and the music section?

Before the group was formed I had to make all these decisions by myself, a very lonely business I assure you. Now that we are all together I can benefit from your ideas during the all-important design phase. Especially in the area of music reviews I NEED input! Thank you.

Incidentally, while these new stacks are under construction, I hope none of you will hesitate to use the ever versatile voice cards as a means of reviewing whatever it is you want to review.
