Everything's fine here on the Central Coast. Yesterday a heron flapped its wings in greeting at me as I stood on our porch and stretched my arms out and yawned. I don't think that would happen in Ohio.
Nevertheless, that is where I was last week -- on a job interview to be an Assistant Professor of English Literature (with specialization in poetry) at a place called The Ohio State University at Marion. This week I'm on pins and needles waiting as the search committee interviews two more candidates and comes to a decision.
Wish me luck, sweet ponarvians.
