I recently saw a very odd movie on video tape which I would like to recommend. It's called Bagdad Cafe and is about a large German woman who becomes stranded in the middle of the California (Nevada?) desert. She seeks refuge at a rundown motel filled with a very odd cast of characters. The movie is about her effect on them and their effect on her.
