Ye Gads, A Changed Course

Voice Card  -  Volume 33  -  Stuart Card Number 2  -  Tue, Sep 6, 1994 8:54 PM

This is ONE OF 2 responses to VC 32 John 10 ("Penelope Waits")...

Well, showing Archipelago to a friend of mine (who thinks you are a really terrific writer, John, by the way), she pointed out the benefits of putting out Archipelago on the e-mail. We could have issues out more quickly, send them back more quickly, but we wouldn't, as I had thought, have to respond to voice cards at once, en mass. We could do as we do now, read the cards and write our selective responses as we normally would. But the whole process would be quickened due to technology.

Hmmm. Is it that simple? If so, I've changed my mind. Put Archipelago on the internet or whatever you suggested to speed things up, John. After all, as you say, Odysseus does indeed rouse his sailors from the lotus eaters, finds the moly plant for his men turned into Circe's pigs, etc. But this time his galley ship is a motor boat!
