Sex is always in the way but depending on the two people it can or cannot be pushed aside. In every male-female relationship sex becomes a question even if it is only for 1/2 a second.

So John do you want to be able to have sex without commitment? That is not a judgemental question, I am merely asking, does Dick want sex with Jane because he cares about her and then go on his way. (Damn, this is sounding cold and I don't mean it to.)

I think if a woman could do that it would be ok but you both have to agree beforehand.

With friendships in general I used to think you had to STAY friends through thick and thin but now I feel that as you go through life you pick up and drop friends as you need them (cold sounding again). As you drop them that doesn't mean they aren't valued; it's just impossible to keep up with it all and the time for that friendship leaves. I guess that can happen with sexual relationships also.

There have been men in my life who as friends have attracted me sexually although they have not attracted me as a permanent mate. I never approached them, however, for fear of rejection......
