Child-proofing?

Voice Card  -  Volume 23  -  Larry Card Number 1  -  Sat, Jan 18, 1992 9:54 PM

This is a response to VC 22 Drury 4 ("Kid Two")...

Unless you remove everything from a house and then cover the floors and walls with heavy-duty tarp, there is no way to completely child-proof your home. We are just now going through the process of putting latches on cabinet doors and plugging wall outlets. But, those items are just the tip of the iceberg.

Kristin is going through a stage where she thinks that everything belongs on the floor - so everything she can reach gets dumped. We are not the type of people to remove everything from her reach, much less from the room, so we spend a lot of time picking up her messes. Fortunately, nothing important, valuable, or dangerous has been dumped yet. (However, see VC 22 Larry 3.)
