Just a slight twist to your vice-presidential discussion. Shall we get in our votes for who will be Clinton's running mate in November?
I think that Bill Bradley would be the ideal choice for Clinton, but Bradley has pretty well taken himself out of the picture. I cast my vote for Paul Simon, senator from Illinois. He's perhaps a little liberal for Clinton, but he would give pretty good regional balance to the ticket (probably carrying Illinois and its many electoral votes) and would be an obvious contrast to Quayle.
