This is a response to VC 26 Larry 2 ("Shared humanity")...
While Rick was in Saudi I began reading Caribean. I confess that I didn't get very far but what I read intrigued me.
The first chapter was about a peaceful island society. They were literally peace-full. They did not comprehend hostility or violence. Some violent-ful people canoe over and destroy them because that is all they know. The peaceful people cannot comprehend violence even to defend themselves.
My thoughts: Assuming this has happened countless times what does that say about us - the descendants of the victors?
Is peace turning it all over and letting go. If you choose defense then is that peace? What is it?
