I can remember celebrating the longest day of the year even back to my childhood. It is such a fascinating concept to me. Every year there is a longest day and a longest night. I am not into the equal day/night cycle. I like the longest (and the corresponding shortest).

As a child I felt it was very important to not miss this day. After all, how many do we get to enjoy in a lifetime?
