For those of you interested in this thread, here's a brief synopsis of my job situation since the last tape:

In late August, I moved out to Walnut Creek, CA, to do some contract programming for Bank of America. The people I'm working with at B of A are very friendly, the work is just what I've been looking for, I'm making a *tiny* bit of profit, and I've been asked to stay on for another 6+ months.

So what am I going to do? It's not certain, but probably next week I will abruptly give one week's notice so that I can relocate up to Seattle. Then I'll rush back to Salt Lake to close up my apartment there and put most everything into storage, and then rush up to Seattle to start chemotherapy treatments, hopefully before the cancer spreads.

Depending on how I react to the treatments, it's possible I will be unemployable for most or all of 1995. I may also be unable to participate in Archipelago. But never fear - if not next issue, I'll at least be back eventually.

Oh yes, and that bit in my Hello card of three weeks ago about love and bankruptcy? It appears that one of them, at least, may be right around the corner. YABBADABBADOO!
