A Pretend Response

Voice Card  -  Volume 1  -  Paul Card Number 1  -  Thu, Jul 7, 1988 3:10 AM

This is ONE OF THREE responses to volume 0, John Card Number 8 ("Example of a Response")...

Paul didn't actually make this card. This is just my way of demonstrating how response links work. (If you haven't done so already, you may want to read the voice card tutorial which appears in volume 0.)

Notice the three buttons in the first of the three gray boxes beneath this text field. The down arrow leads to the voice card in volume 0 which generated the three pretend responses. A down arrow is a sure sign that you are looking at a response card.

If there is more than one response, as is the case here, pointing hand buttons will be visible on either side of the down arrow. The forward hand leads to the next response and the backward pointing hand leads to the previous response. With these buttons you can quickly examine all the responses to a single card.

Any card which generates responses will have one member icon for each response card (located in the reply boxes to the left of the text field).

Try pushing these buttons and see what happens. Once we have a few volumes under our belts, I think these response link buttons will become a useful and familiar feature!
