As a follow-on to Robert's suggestion on distinguishing seen & unseen messages:

The next logical step is to provide a summary statistic of messages unseen on the index screen (e.g., 75 cards, 23 unread). I spend many hours every week on a similar system for work and this feature is VERY useful as a time-estimator.

Kudos to John for this issue's improvements. Archipelago is *vastly* improved already.
