This is a response to volume 2, John Card Number 26 ("Election Time")...

Once all votes have been tallied and it has been determined that a proposition has passed (or not), does that mean we then have a...a rule or law? That sounds so final, cut-and-dried, black-and-white. Even if we allow ample discussion before we vote, won't we lose the input of the opposing minority once the rule is in place?

Perhaps we could use our discussions to develop an opinion on each proposition. This way, we could add qualifications and exceptions to our rule, thus preserving those beloved gray areas.
