This is ONE OF 2 responses to volume 2, Larry Card Number 3 ("Genealogy, etc")...
My - so far overruled - suggestion to John (re: reviews) is to widen the scope of book reviews to include reviews of almost anything. Examples that come immediately to mind: record albums, plays, movies, restaurants, computer software. You might think of others.
Since John WON'T provide this functionality I append my thumbnail restaurant review of The Russian Tea Room in NYC, with thanks to Loudon Wainwright III, one of my favorite songwriters:
"The food's fine/But I feel like a fool/For eatin' alone tonight"
